Q: Beside financial success, what is important to Chinese people?

In my quest to make moar Chinese friends, i' trying hard to understand them. I do understand that financial wealth is the utmost important way to differentiate between each other, like who's on top of who.

But beside money, how do they stand from the others? I know Chinese people aren't into dancing (i find it's a pity, really) so i was wondering what other skill i could acquire to make moar friends.

In big cities, people spend more and more time on sports in free time.
Maybe you will get acquainted with more Chinese friends when doing sports together.
