Q: Best Agency for Applying for a Green Card in China

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you know of a good agency that deals with applying for a Chinese Green Card for a foreigner.

waste of time, too many different rules by province, married 5 years, proof of taxes when you can't work on a family visa, run a business and employees pay taxes, the more you make money for china, the easier to get it, but very few are issued.

also you have to stay in country 270 days a year and if your wife dies, the permanent card is no longer current if you got it based on family instead of business interests. They say they have it to save face with the world but when issue less than 1200 a year for 1.3 billion population, better to play the lottery.

RandomGuy:

Living in China is a complete waste of time, only come here to make quick money, don't stay here full time. Just about anywhere else in East and Southeast Asia is nicer to live in.

That is my arguement as well. How must I show tax paper work when I am not allowed to work in the first place. My friend got his this year but him and his wife have connections in the government and paid a bribe to get his.

You have had 16 or so years to change this and work legally. Long enough time to get a degree.

Unless you have made "significant contributions to China" or invested millions of $$$ then forget about it.

Stiggs:

Generally I agree with you but I do know of a guy who got one.

He didn't invest millions and I don't think he contributed any more than other teachers have done, I always assumed he knows someone who did him a favour.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
