Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Best game system for kids?
As my twins are turning five, the fights over our one Ipad are getting worse. I'd like to invest in a game system for Christmas so they can play together (and fight over who wins).
Any suggestions? I'm not a gamer myself so I want advice from those in the know.
Thanks in advance.

Mike suggestion is the best, but just to offer additional ideas : Minecraft ! It's a sandbox game (you can survive in an environment, you can discover things, do quests, build things, there are tons of expansions and custom maps, etc), and it can be done in collaborative multiplayer. So if you got to PCs hanging around, that's an idea.

Agreed. 2 cheap PCs will serve more purposes than just gaming for your kids. It will save you another expenditure when the time comes that they want to stream their favourite cartoons. Any old PC with mediocre graphics and sound will do for now; Chinese kids seem to be into online games and CS, and that's what they'll want. If they want more graphically demanding games, or an online game account - that's what pocket money is for.

No room for extra PCs...just looking for something to connect to the TV that both monsters can play
Also many wii games are casual, and good to play for the whole family.
Mario Kart and Smash brothers, mario party and wii sports all are games you can play with groups, and all fairly casual.
Wii
"Super Mario Galaxy" is one of the best games of all time. I am sure 5 year olds can handle the game, but maybe start with simpler games.
Note. The great thing about the Wii is that many games encourage playing with friends. A thing that went missing (imho) since the days of the early game systems and e.g. the Commodore C64.... damn I miss the thing
