Uyghir and Kazakh food.  They're both far more appetizing than Chinese.

Personal fave would be mutton cooked in a clay oven, eg; xia tan rou.  And spicy skewers, kaorou, especially yang pai, which is a bigger skewer of broken rib.

In Changchun the daily western buffet on the 2nd floor of the Jin An hotel is amazing. There are different theme nights including Australian steak night (my favorite), American, German and Italian. Prices are around 200 rmb for all you can eat and all you can drink draft beer. There is always an ample selection of salad, cheese, sushi and meat whatever the theme night.
