Q: Best shopping in Zhengzhou?

Looking for a good supermarket in ZhengZhou... and preferably next to a metro/subway.

Does such a place exist?

Thanks!

Stop asking 3 questions in a row....

http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/henan/zhengzhou/shopping.htm

Nothing much on 'where' or 'how to come there'.

Yahoo-gle is full of shopping guides, malls and other shopping things in ZZ. 'shopping in ZZ, Henan'

Go shopping for a ticket out of that shithole

icnif77:

They're building G train tracks all over the place. ZZ is already connected with G train in some 100 km radius around the city.

I'm in Kaifeng, and G train station is some 20' taxi ride off Campus. Then another 30' with fast train to ZZ.

I find regular bus to ZZ faster. It takes less than an hour to reach Capital.

Maybe you're not in ZZ any more but my reply should be useful to anyone who has arrived there for the first time: I presume you want to find one that has imported goods? If not, there are loads of supermarkets in ZZ... just choose a major road and walk along it some day you don't have classes.

If it's imported food and drink you're hankering for, Ole in the basement of the MIXC near Erqi Square has a good selection but it ain't cheap. Dennis on Renmin Lu is similar.

The Carrefours are ok, not great. I usually go to the ones in "Manhattan" (ZZ folk sure are optimistic when they name things) and at the Guomao 360 mall near the zoo.

There's a Walmart at Manhattan too which has a pretty good selection of booze. Which you'll need if you live in ZZ for anything more than a few months.

Yes I usually shop at the imported goods supermarket in Dennis 1st World(Beside No.1 Shangwu Outer Ring Road) , it is linked to the Convention Centre subway station.
