Kinda shocked seeing it first time around. anyone tried it?
What do you mean by 'black man's smile? Do you mean that Darlie C's toothpaste or whatever it's called. I tried it before and it doesn't compare to COlgate. Colgate is a lot better!!
Colgate is different and is available in china... look carefully..
I have used Darlie as well.. not that bad.. chinese consider it as a good brand..
He's like the Uncle Ben of toothpaste.
Deliciously stereotypical, not quite racist (anymore), 100% awesome.
It used to be called Darkie, but the name and old logo were pushing it a little too far...
I use it sometimes, it's... ok, I guess. Standard mint toothpaste. The logo rocks.
Darlie (As Mr. Spoon said, used to be called Darkie) has been around for a very long time. It is actually pretty decent toothpaste.
In my opinion it is just as good as any American brand I have used.
darlie, originally darkie is owned by colgate (but apparently not marketed by them, whatever that means). the company was bought in the 80s and colgate changed the super racist name to darlie. of course in china theres no such thing as racism and its still called black mans toothpaste.
I have a tube of Darlie right here. It is actually much better tasting than Colgate or Crest (and a bit more expensive). The package says it is made by the company "Hawley and Hazel". According to wikipedia the company is owned by Colgate but it is separately marketed.
