Q: Blatant attempt at bribery: eChinacities olympics
WARNING; blatant attempt at bribery up ahead
Hello guys, with Rio up ahead and so much discussion about it around here, combined with the charity/joke question of Phil that has been resurrected ( some would say reanimated) I want to try out something, so yes it's a blatant attempt at bribery and to make the website more active, I just want to see how it'll go.
Starting Friday night at 11.00 PM we will officially have the start of the :
eChinacities olympics !!!
With categories such as:
- Most viewed question
- Most answered question
- Most publicly approved answer
- Cumulative most read questions
- Cumulative most answered questions
- Kitty like question
- Kitty like answer
- Most liked answer
- Most liked member
- Most constructive answers
The rankings will be from first to third, each being then able to brag to be eChinacities ( fill out gold/silver/bronze) ( fill out the corresponding category) 2016. as well as receiving a points prize.
60 points for first
40 points for second
20 points for third.
The Olympics will start on Friday 11.00pm and will end on Thursday 11.00 pm ( I will need Friday to brush my fur, prepare the podiums, announce the results and give the prizes).
Remember that during the Olympics the rules still have to be followed, no personal attacks, profanity, spamming and so on.
As a special rule, at least 30 words have to be put into an answer to count, more than two messages from the same author consecutively will not count, a maximum of 5 post from one author on one post will be counted.
Each person as up to 3 questions they can choose to showcase to compete with.
Should you wish to you may form teams of up to 3 people for a "table" showcasing at the end of the Olympics, i'll expect a correct name and battle cry though.
WARNING: Kitty will be lurking and ready to " kitty did not find this appropriate" and kitty scratch !

Check the recent popular, and those who got hundreds of comments, 9 out of 10 times, it's posted by a troll. That's why they got so many comments, they are usually controversial and not normal questions.
I think by doing this, you might get short term traffic. But on the long run, you are bringing the quality of the site down and you'll lose everyone, even the trolls will leave.
