Q: Boat rides in Beijing?

I was thinking of enjoying the weather this coming weekend by being lazy...I hear there are some small boat rides in Beijing, but I'm not entirely sure where, or how far they go.

Anyone know?

Check out Houhai. There are lots of cute little boats you can take there or try the summer palace. While you have to pay an entrance fee at the summer palace and battle with crowds, you should have plenty of room out on that big lake once you rent your little paddle boat ans scurry away from the crowds.
