Q: Body fengshui - does that even exist?

More superstitious hocus pocus.

Chinese guy was telling me with a straight face about 'body fengshui'. He said if you hold your palm out, then close your fingers into a fist and see holes through them, it means you'll be a big spender.

I'd never heard of body fengshui. Is that even a proper term?

Yes, I think it does.

It's a little like they think someone is thinking about them if they sneeze. Or how open nostrils mean money is going to leak out of you or something.

Not sure if anyone really believes that anymore. maybe on a subconscious level?

Min Xiang Shue--also known as body feng shui--is an ancient Taoist tradition that uses the techniques from the more familiar art of placement (feng shui) to reveal the connection between inner character and external appearance. According to this ancient art, it is possible to recognize the personality of an individual from his or her facial features, hand shape, movements, and posture. Body Feng Shui teaches you how to explore your own and others' destinies by reading the truths of the soul as they appear on the human body.

Introduced for the first time in the Western world, the art of body feng shui can show how a negative or positive physical aspect can be partially responsible for happiness or misfortune, health or illness, wealth or poverty. Moreover, though we are given certain attributes at birth, these are not unchangeable. Body Feng Shui provides valuable lessons for redesigning our fate based on the observations of our physical appearance and offers many examples of positive changes you can make to transform an inauspicious physical feature into a blessing--none of which require plastic surgery.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
