Q: Buying gold in china is wise decision?

Buying gold has always remained one of best ways to save money for long term. Because gold prices always rise.
Buying gold in china is same beneficial as in the rest world? or keeping RMB is more beneficial?

Any luxury item in China is more expensive here than anywhere else and a lot of gold is "filled" in the center so the weight isn't true, so I would avoid buying gold in China, HK would be ok though...

Gold won't be any cheaper here at all as it is listed on the World market prices. If you want to buy gold, use your Bank or a Stock Broker. Personally Gold is (in my mind) not really a good investment at the moment, as it is too expensive. It actually just dropped in price.

As Alex said there is a world price for gold so as long as you are aware of what the current rate is and are happy that it is real then it does not matter where you buy it. Has dropped a bit in the last few days, but has seen the next best return investment after the crazy bubble of Chinese real estate in the last 5 years. Gold is always a populatr investment because it can be hidden in a safety deposit box and is not as visible to authorities as other investments.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
