Q: Buying stuff online with a phone?

So I asked the folks at the Shanghai Apple Store how they buy things online, since it seems like you can't buy anything online with a Mac in China, and they told me that they usually just use their phones. Apparently you can get some kind of service hooked up with your bank and your iPhone/Android. Has anyone tried it?
