Q: Can anyone recommend a good plastic surgeon in China? (assuming there is such a thing in China!)

Ok, I don't care what people think but I want to get my nose reduced and get permanent laser hair removal done on my face. In case you are wondering, I hate my nose and hate shaving. I understand the basic procedures for these (I am a Biology teacher) so I dont think it should be hard for the Chinese to do but would like to know if anyone can suggest a good hospital.  Thanks

I love those big noses of foreigners, so I'm kind of sad reading your question. But it would be easier to answer if you gave us an idea of your whereabouts. China is big, you know.

Really? Because my nose is smaller than yours.

Wherever the hell that dude got the nose put on his forehead. It looked better than mine.

But watch out for whoever did a job on that poor 28 year old girl from Gansu, they've left her with a head like a half-deflated volleyball.

no matter which city you are in,go to the public hospitals rather than private ones.usually the first people's hospital (di yi ren min yi yuan,or just ren min yi yuan if there is only one ren min yi yuan in the city)is one of the best hospitals in the city.

The best way to get good treatment is to go to a doctor who is recommended by someone else who has had treatment carried out by the doctor - a personal recommendation. Medicine works differently in China compared to the ways in western countries as I am sure you know already.

You should ask about the training and experience of the surgeon and ask to see cases of previous surgery he or she has carried out previously.

I would not rely on the advertising or web- sites provided by any Chinese hospital as these are often untrue and there are no controls over medical advertising so many statements in the press or on the Internet are not true.

Laser treatments can effect the pigments in your skin. Have you looked at what happens when things go wrong?

Good 5 blade razors sure make a difference. I've used an elctric razor all my life, ocassional a disposable. I now know what crap dsposables are. I use Gillette Fusion blades, faster than washing and smooth.
