Q: Can anyone recommend some good visa agencies in Beijing?

My visa's running out soon and I need to get a new one asap and can't afford to leave the country. I heard that visa agencies can do it but that some are quite shady. Can anyone recommend a reliable visa agency in Beijing? Thanks!

I've used Traders Link a couple of times and I've never had any trouble with them. Many of my friends have used them too and were happy. But there's always a question mark over these visa agencies and if you can get your visa through the official channels that's better.
I found the article below quite useful. It discusses getting visas through agencies or through your work.

Some of my friends received the visas from a law firm whose name is jay and shaw. My friends said that the firm is with years of experience in helping expats living in China to deal with legal issues. Its specialties include but not limited to prenuptial agreement, marriage, divorce, inheritance, lease, real estate investment, labor and employment, IPR, establishing business, criminal defense, civil representation, etc. In addition, it has a close networking with other business agencies visa agencies included. Its mail seems to be inquiry@jayandshaw.com.

A:My friends who are managing schools still can't recruit from outside of China because of the borders being closed, as far as I know that doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon. If you have a current existing residence permit etc you can re-enter the country, going through the usual quarantine process obviously but no new visas are being issued. I don't know about business visas but I suspect it wouldn't be much different. For up to date info you could probably contact the Chinese embassy in your country. -- Stiggs
