Q: can DVDs be mailed to China?

huh, cause they don't seem to get there? I read that you can't mail them out of China.

I assume your favorite movies are po*rn? Why else would you mail DVDs to China?

I made a slide show of all my china photos. I took almost a week since windows crashes so easily.

Sorry Ted for the misplaced humor and if it is for slideshow their are other ways to do it. You can upload on the net and download it where ever you want it.("DropBox" is one of them) Did you tried "Windows Movie Maker" nice program to make something like that and easy to use.

The following are the articles prohibited or restricted when mailing to China.

They are :

Arms, ammunition, weapons.

Articles in hermetically sealed, nontransparent containers.

Chinese currency.

Coins; banknotes; securities payable to bearer; traveler’s checks; gold, silver, platinum, manufactured or not; precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles, unless sent as an insured post.

Manuscripts, printed matter, photographic negatives, gramophone records, films, magnetic tapes, video tapes, etc., which could do political, economical, cultural, or moral harm to the People’s Republic of China.

Meat and meat products.

Perishable infectious biological substances.

Radioactive materials.

Radio receivers, transmitters or receivers of all kinds, walkie-talkies and parts thereof; valves, antennae, etc.

Used clothing and bedding.

Wrist-watches, cameras, television sets, radio sets, tape records, bicycles, sewing machines, and ventilators.

Restrictions

The importation of personal articles is limited to those intended for personal use and imported in reasonable quantities. The value of the items contained in each shipment must not exceed RMB (renminbi) 100 yuan and the total value of the shipment received annually by each family may not exceed RMB (renminbi) 800 yuan.

Since DVD's are in fact "films", they are confiscated upon arrival in general if caught.
