I have massive respect for Icniff. He does his stuff, manages to get by in a strange land and supports himself.
He also keeps SAFEA busy 
And his spoken English is better than mine. I spoke to him on the phone a few times. I could understand him, but he had no idea what I was on about.
If anything, icnif is the perfect example of what is wrong with the work visa policy of this country. A dedicated teacher forced from pillar to post, with employers trying to take advantage of him, just because of his country of birth.

As I sign Contract, the easiest is to keep-up my obligations, and they play 'TIC' till I don't ring the phone.
School in Kaifeng demanded whole return ticket in order to issue refund. However, if you fly to EU from China, parts of the ticket stay at the connecting airports. If you fly only in EU, you land at your destinations without much of the hard ticket.
You have an electronic flight confirmation with everything on it: date, price paid, airports and what not.
Kaifeng School won't accept anything else, but hard ticket, till I didn't mention SAFEA.
Day later, rep sent me an email: 'I showed tickets confirmations to Principal, and he agreed School will issue refund.'
Word 'SAFEA' was worth 7k rambos.

Chinese 'negotiate'. That's their thing, as 'salary offer is this' and then chip here and chip there or 'work more hours then Contract, but it's not really working. We want you to do 77 demo classes without extra pay'.
They know exactly what they are doing, low English is just cover-up.
I wrote last week on another thread, how I am already busy just after my arrival to the new city. This week, we have 'college entrance exams' and I am excused of working for 3 days. I offered them, I could work with students in higher grades, instead staying in my bed. Chinese teachers are all very happy with my offer. In other words, I am very fair toward them, and ragging, when they try to shorten me for anything.
I think, that's fair.
Yes it would be a nice function. He thinks that he is always right. I think that he has some mental problems as well. I think that he has no friends, no social life and he keeps posting in this forum.

When I think I am right, I usually accompany my posting with web links, where I read about the same thing, so my post can't be considered as 'rumour' or 'my opinion'.
My friends? When I hear somebody calls me 'my friend', I usually run away.
It had never happened somebody would say 'My friend, here is US$ 100 for you...', and it always happened 'my friend, do me a favor...' or 'my friend give me this or that'
I like to post here, because I want to cool down all you Native English.....you should come down of this high tree of 'Teaching English in China'. That's nothing special you do, especially since I can do the same as Non-English-native. Escaped from 'wallet parking job', did you?

I don't like to reveal personal details on anon. Anyone from this Board, who met me in real, saw my passport too. The trouble is I am not from there. I was born elsewhere than my passport is. I had to learn two different languages as my first ones. That's why I consider the most honest A is 'I came from my mom'. It became much more confusing after my retort: 'and You?'

Last month, I was fishing Native English teachers on Campus in Kaifeng to replace me at part & full-time job, because I got new job in Guizhou.
If EU wouldn't be so down, I'd be probably working there now, but I am not student anymore to live on 1000 Eur, and spending 500 for housing. I have much better wage in China.
You wish, I would be pissed, because I am not Native, but you can't match me in the classroom. You are teaching English same as you licked an ice cream as a baby.
I don't! I know, how 2nd language had to be learned from my own-several-times-experience.

My new place in Guizhou hired me after the interview/short class with students over the Skype. Manager: 'I like your spoken English, because students understood you....'. One Ozz poster I met told me I sound a bit Russian. My Rec. letters in Chinese apparently all state I have clear English pronunciation. I can do Indian/Pak accent at will, but at Scottish, I was saying very often 'excuse me....can you say it again, please.....' LOLOL. Now, Scottish after my 'excuse me..' always talk like in slow motion.....' with wide opening of their chew....

And it's funny, he get involved/offended at posts not about or against him. Discussion between two or three posters, and then him:

Also very knowledgable about Police internal business in China, as 'police is checking-up the Training mills often for illegal FT'. I spot that at other poster too. Chhris or similar handle. How can you know, PSB won't grant/extend visa to Pak citizen since 2014?
