Q: Can I bring my amp to China as checked luggage?

At home (in the U.S.A.) I have an amplifier, it weighs 27 pounds and fits in a larger suitcase. Yup, I want to bring it to China. Please, does anyone know if airlines or China have a problem with this? I can't find any info nohow.

Yes, it's a guitar amp. I could sell it for $100 at home, but it costs $400 in China, so why not bring it to China?

Anyone? Beuller?

I think you'll be fine man. If it fits in the suitcase especially, the only thing I'd be worried about is it getting damaged. I have a lot of friends here in bands who have brought their entire set ups (drumkits, amps etc) so I think it's doable.
