I have job offers, but in the city I want to go to only a poor offer. An average wage with nothing else. I do not know about medical. The offer is come and see. I will come and look around for other jobs also. I am wondering if I can buy my own medical insurance in China?

I don't know about China, but you can get travel insurance piggy-backed on your local medical. I get mine through BCAA (CAA) and it costs me about $2 a day, but this rate depends on age and how long you will be in China.
I know some people here do get local insurance but personally I would not trust it as much as what I get in Canada.
Yes you can, even from Western insurance companies like AXA
Yes, you can get medical insurance in China if your age is under 60. If over, no. If so, then you would have to seek it abroad, or with companies abroad, but the fees are astronomical, maybe $ 10,000 US d per year or more, depending on age and medical history.
Try the People's Insurance Company of China. We have teachers in my school that are older than 60 years of age and they are covered by a major medical policy of the company. It is an 80% deductible with a monthly spending allowance for over-the-counter prescriptions.
