Q: Can i cancel my own Z Visa?

Hi, I have broken my contract due to certain reasons. I have given the school 30 days notice but am not getting a reply. I am not in China at the moment because of the school holiday period. I gave the 30 days notice and said after going back there to teach for 30 days( start of new term )I would then like to leave. I'm just wondering can i cancel everything myself because it may be a long drawn out process if i wait for the school to communicate with me. I will start afresh after i'm not tied to the school.

You would still need the letter of release and a letter of recommendation from your current employer to apply for a new job and visa.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
