Yes you can download torrents but certain sites like pirate bay are blocked. So you'll have to just search around and find some you can trust. There's even many in Chinese.
Download to your heart's content. At one stage I was doing 10Gb an evening as I prefer to download movies while am asleep. There are no download limits. And the VPN? I actually found the download was much faster with the VPN turned off. That is, find what you want on whatever site, start your download, check the speed, turn off the VPN, see the speed change, voila!

Thanks for great advice. You were right about the speed increase!
Yes, torrents work, but pirate bay doesn't (about half of the sites I tried do without VPN). Torrents do download faster without VPN. btjunkie.org and torrentz.eu (a site with no torrents on it, but searches other torrent sites) are my go-to sites for torrents here.
go to www.rarbg.com
you can get even the latest movie though some of them are not that good quality.
e.g, after few days of screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" I found it on that site in TS quality. It was not that perfect but OK..Usually, I download the latest movie even in TS or CAM quality and if I like them then I go to Cinema to watch them in good quality.
another site to search is 1337x.org but seems both are some how linked as I could see regular update at bot sites at the same time. And both of them are linked to one bulgarian torrent sites which was closed about 3 years ago but now they are back with different names...
anyway, www.rarbg.com should be a perfect place, better than piratebay or others..
have fun..
Works with or without VPN, so long as you can get the magnet link or the torrent file.
That said, turn it off and download until you have the matrix oozing out your hard drives. I have averaged about 30GB-50GB a week since last December on my 10 Megabit with China Telecom.
