Q: Can I lie to my client that I want to visit their company for getting the invitation letter?
Can I do that?I want to get the invitation letter to west Europe or some other western place to have a look and come back.
victoria, you should never lie... period. it can and will come back to bite you in the @ss. this is very typical chinese thinking... lie and cheat to get what you want and not worry about the consequences and who you hurt in the process. reading this has just made me angry... i need a beer...

Are you ok with other people lying to you, in order to get what they want ? Have you the same standard for yourself and others ? Or you can do stuffs that others can not do to you ?
If you have an elastic morality that adjusts to your needs, the sky's the limit, lie like there's no tomorrow. But if your client find out, goodbye client, you will look like (rightfully so) like someone not worth doing any business with.

This is precisely because such abuses are so common that Chinese citizens suffer from visa restrictions. Too much cheating. So you can go on and say "but Chinese cheats because of restrictions", cheat for your own visa application, and help reinforcing the vicious circle. You can get a proper visa (ie. tourist visa), follow the requirements, and do that travel you're longing for. If you have a job in China and some savings, it should not be a problem. Just fill the papers correctly.

False information is the number one reason for Chinese nationals to be rejected in their visa applications for the EU/Schengen area

If e.g. you are going to a tradeshow, then I am sure the people arranging the tradeshow could help with an invitation.
If you get caught lying, you will risk permanently loosing your abillity to travel to Europe, and I am pretty sure the EU countries shares such information with e.g. the US, so doing this means your travelplans for the rest of your life will be limited to Thailand and North Korea. (maybe I am exaggerating to get my point across)

If you just want to go travel, you need a tourist visa. If you go for business, you need a business visa. As far as I know it is OK to go see some sights on a business visa, but not OK to conduct business on a tourist visa.

@Victoria: It is often hard for us to come to China, we have many limitations too.
For a tourist visa the requirements are $100 US in the bank for every day we want to stay in China plus a return air ticket and hotel bookings for the city we want to stay in. ( though these rules aren't always followed )
For a work visa, (at least for teaching) we need to have a degree, two years experience, a full medical check and a TEFL certificate.

You surely know the answer to this but maybe like all the other answers we give you, you choose to ignore because you do not like what we say. do you want us to say it is ok for you to lie? if we tell you the truth which is 'no', you will probably ignore the answer. lying on an official document will have serious consequences and will haunt your future and possibly ruin your life.
There is no way you can justify cheating or lying to get a visa.
No, it's not okay. Do you want to be banned from the European Union and the United States of 'murica? The National Security Agency of the United States shares information with many countries in the EU. The EU's various national security agencies also share lots of information with the U.S. Suspected terrorists, visa cheaters, etc.
They will ban you not just from the EU, but from the U.S. as well. ALWAYS -- I repeat -- ALWAYS tell the truth on visa applications. NEVER lie to federal officials in developed countries. It will come back and bite you in the ass. They don't fuck around like the CCP.
The NSA isn't limited to the U.S. It's a matter of national security when you lie on a visa application. If you lie, I sincerely hope you get taken to Guantanamo Bay and waterboarded for the rest of your life.
I am getting sick of all the Chinese people I know, who want to come to America or stay here, who keep asking me and others about the various ways to cheat the immigration system in the U.S. I am really, honestly, genuinely sick of it.

The Chinese approach to problem solving
1. Glance at how it should be done correctly
2. Investigate a way around the system without fully knowing how to do it correctly
This goes for banking, health care, construction, visa applications, marriage etc.
You are making the very same mistake my students make when they tell me stupid lies. 1. You are assuming your client is stupid and will believe such nonsense.
2. You're assuming the immigration department is stupid and would over look the fact that you are an unmarried young woman with no real ties to China. (High risk of not leaving said western country)
Western countries must have restrictions when it comes to travel / immigration of Chinese people because of people like you. You are looking to lie, cheat and game the system for your own selfish needs. People like you do not give a second thought to how your actions will affect a legit Chinese business traveler .
Third mistakes liars make, you are assuming you are the first to think of this plan. There are safe guards in place because this has been tried before.
Face it, you are living in a real crappy country. People here want to leave. In western countries, the few people who do want to leave, is to try something new, they're fed up with something in their home country or they are just twisted.
I do not say this to be mean, but the truth of the matter is, if you spent time in Europe, you would quickly start looking for a guy to marry so you would not have to return to China.

I can't agree. This is bad advice and could get her permanently banned from most western countries. We all know how badly she wants to leave China, and encouraging her to do something to get her stuck there forever isn't a good idea.

The vast majority of Chinese with a wish to see the outside world 'are' stuck here, and Vicky is probably no exception. It's easy for you to judge but then all you needed was an invitation from me to get your visa sorted. Sometimes you just have to take your chances.
do you really wanna know what happens if you lie?
lets say you fake your invitation letter.
1.embassy sees the letter, calls the company and ask if that is true, either the chinese or the western -> you are out and banned
2. embassy wants to have a letter from your company that proves you are working for them and send you on a business trip for that time, assuming you fake that letter too, they will call your company and ask if it is the truth -> you are out and banned
3. you need more than a stupid letter to get into europe
believe me one thing the embassy will call, they called my gfs company to ask all the information about her and if its the truth. We only applied for a tourist visa.
one thing i can tell you they didnt care about money in her bank account because she had not much < 10000 RMB. We still got the visa.
You are Chinese, they expect you to lie. This is why your visa will be denied.
Most countries do not let single Chinese girls in purely because they know that they will never go back to China or they come to work elegally for example : Hookers 
. Any Chinese or anybody else for that matter who wants to come to Australia (not by boat) needs to supply enough evidence that they will return to their port of origin once the term of their visa has expired .
