Q: Can I work as a university teacher in a tier 3 city at 63 years of age?

There is conflicting advice as to age restrictions. Some advice suggests that foreign teachers in China need to be less than 60, but other advice suggests less than 65 outside tier 1 cities.

60 is the retirement age. There are exceptions, but very few. If you turn 60 in the contract term, you will be denied at 59.

It depends whom the School/University knows in the Government.  There are numerous teachers working post 60.

I know that Yancheng Institute of Technology are looking for a English IELTS teacher.
