Q: can two foreigners marry on a visit visa to shenzhen?

i have two friends coming over next month, and they want to get married here in Shenzhen, i want to ask what are they going to need to get married here, hong kong is not an option since one of them is going to need visa to enter hk..please guide, thank you

 ther was a post a while back titled who got married with 2 foreginer one of the answers from nevermind talks about people that did it      hope this helps

Yes, they can. However,

 

- They must BOTH get their single-status affidavits at their respective consulates or embassies. If there are no such embassies or consulates in China, then you need to bring notarized documents from your home country. No guarantees that documents obtained outside of China will be valid.

 

The U.S. consulate in Guangzhou offers these, but they must be scheduled in advance. You can go here: http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/appointment-system-for-american-... - look under marriageability affidavits.

 

Also, in the same building is a reliable translation company which will translate the documents for about 50 RMB. 

 

- The documents must also be translated professionally, and both documents must be stamped together. Half on one page, half on the translation page.

 

- Passports are required as well. Your passport info must be on the documents. It must match.

It's possible but I think you might need a residency for one of them. Please tell us what will happen with them.

Actually, one must be a citizen or green card holder in China, not just on a resident visa.
