Q: Can you get your criminal background check in China?

Does anyone know an agency doing it here in China?  What I mean is does anyone know how to get it without returning to the States?

Why do you need an American one? You've been in China a few years...won't your city/province take a Chinese no criminal records check?

Just an add on here, the Non criminal background check is not used at the PSB, its given to the labor department everything is. All the PSB wants to see from you is an ABC card and passport, the rest is from the company.

Just realized something! On a later question you’re asking about doing an L-visa run to HK. Here you’re asking if local criminal background check is okay.

Okay for what?

If you’ve been living here on a tourist visa then you can’t get a local criminal records RD’s check.

Something doesn’t add up with your questions. Definitely inconsistent stories here.

I’m applying for a Z.

Okay. Then you need a criminal records check from your home country if converting from tourist visa to Z-visa. Plus you’ll need to head to HK at a minimum to get the Z-visa. If you’re really unlucky you’ll need to head home.

Yeah,, helpers here are telling me to return to the States to get it and just get the Z while I’m there too.  Guess it’s a good idea,,, haven’t been in the US in maybe six years....
