Q: Can your boss cancel your visa

First is there anyway to tell if your visa or permit has been cancelled?

Someone told me there would be a stamp in your passport.

You could ask at a police station. A lot of employers threaten to cancel your visa but don't actually do it because it's a hassle

They can't do anything without your passport (and you) present.

ironman510:

They don't need your passport in hand, ony the passport copy and and RP number# wall Street has done this already.

My latest one in Fujian, I had to be present with my book.

After cancellation of RP, 30 days visa (S2 or L) is mandatory (Chinese law, I think), so employer must give PSB your passport for few days.

Thay can, but it's not a one day deal, it take two walkins to the PSB to cancel a visa, Wall street had to cancel this guys visa after walking into work drunk, it cost Y300 to cancel a work visa. You DON"T need to have the passport in hand, only the passport and RP#.

I've had lots of employers say that if I try to leave I'll not just lose my visa, but I'll be blacklisted from coming back to China.

I almost wish it were true.

I'd go home and run for political office and implement a policy of tit for tat causing all of the bottomfeeding talentless arseholes who've come over to my country and bought up property to have to come home and leave their assets in the hands of the state.

Why do we tolerate these people's double standards?

they can only cancel your work permit . only the psb can cancel your visa to stay in China.

After he cancels your work permit, if you resident permit aka work visa is still valid, just transfer the work permit to another company and re-apply for the resident permit. then you can still work and live in China.

Scots is right it's a myth by the lone con man who operates a website called CFTU...there is no organization, just the one guy.

In reality if your visa/RP does get canceled it will be stamped as such...but the only situation this would normally happen in is with the issuing of a new visa/RP.

Buddy of mine was working for a company that got bought out but kept him in the exact same role, he had a few months left on his residence permit but the new company got him a new RP. Just gave it up and it came back with the original one cancelled and a new one in it's place.

I suggest use CONNECTMINE VPN, we found it most cheap VPN and faster than ASTRILL and STRONG VPN. Many of my friends use this now, and really comparable to other companies browsing speed. The support are here in CHINA and wechat away. Just a seconds they will answer you right away.

try add them wechat: connectminevpn or 13013816647

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
