Q: Is caucasian=white race?
Is caucasian just equal to white race or caucasian is one kind of race belonging to the white race?Since I know mediterranean is one kind of white race.And there are varieties of white race.
Can mediterranean be called caucasion?
Caucasian means white yes
But the more scientific explanation would be that there is no such thing as race. If you look at our genes, our DNA, the parts that define how we look. There are no "Asian", "black", "Caucasian" genes. There are merely traits, such as "black hair", "big feet".
We are in fact all the same, just visually different. Which is nice, imagine how boring it would be if everyone looked the same.
The word "race" is great for discussing the animal kingdom. One race is "the human race"

Caucasian meaning white is based off 1900's ethinuc stereotypes that have no linguistic basis...both Armenian and Georgian are Khavkaz yet are quite far from the romantic languages, let alone the germanic....in fact the origion of Germanic is quite odd...They are between Slavic and Hungarian (Uraliski ) but whre did they come from?

I am a whitey. Ancestral blood from Scotland. Although I do have 1/8 American Indian blood. and if you study ancient history that is actually Chinese blood since they are the people who migrated long ago to become the first in North America.

Caucasian, Mediterranean, race... The early 1900's called and they want their science back. And they also say, don't touch phrenology. Seriously, this "Caucasian" term is based on very outdated knowledge that is perpetuated out of ... tradition ?
People in the Mediterranean are, historically, a mix-up of Celtics, Greeks, Romans, various Germanic tribes (Roman empire fall), Arabs, Turks and even Vikings (yup, they went down there). The mix-up is of course highly variable from people to people and in which part of the Mediterranean. It's very far from being homogenous.
the truth is Vicky has bumped into a new e-friend.. He says he is Caucasian but Vicky is not sure if he is white or not..if white, then good white or bad white...
