Q: Chambers of commerce helping foreigners find jobs?

I've heard the French chamber of commerce has a huge program to help French speakers find jobs in China, and I was wondering if English-speaking embassies, chambers of commerce, cultural centers (British council, etc...) help foreigners AT ALL to get jobs or offer guidance, etc...

Do they only hire Chinese staff for non-senior positions?

Don't expect British nor Amreican CC will be any helpful...but they have some events which may give you some helps....but they are not freee!.....I think they hire any person for those positions which need to speak fluent Chinese, as long as you like the pay....

I like a snowy Happy new year, rather than a no sky one...Beijing's time to ban the cars---the only solution for the time being...

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
