Q: Change company, what's the procedure to renew my work permit ?

I just started a job in a new company (still in the same city) and I was wondering how to renew my current work permit in order to expand my resident permit.

The company that sponsored my Z visa gave me my release letter  (离职证明) and now I'd like to know the different steps to get a new work permit : what documents are required ? how long does it take ?

My current work permit ends on August 15th and my resident permit on September 13th.

Thanks for your advices

If you got the release letter and cancellation of your FEC. Then you're free and all you need now is to choose a new company or school to work for. Nothing else is required, but you might need your original diploma, not a copy. So Choose your next job wisely.

Hotwater:

As he's already found the new job/company all he needs to be concerned with is the new company getting the paperwork processed to transfer his work permit & RP. He shouldn't have to do anything really.

1 cancel your previous work permit under former company name.then labor bureau will give you the receipt

2 use the receipt and other documents to apply new work permit under the new company

3 renew the resident permit in immigration department of PSB

That's it
