Q: Changing Students Visa into Working Visa

Is it possible to change a student Visa into a working visa without going back home after graduation before this one expires?

You will probably need to have your X visa canceled first before you can apply for a Z visa. If your employer has the connections he may be able to get you to Hong Kong to get the Z visa. Some employers I know are able to do that.

You must leave china(mainland) to change your visa category(have no doubt about it)

Before you apply for work visa( at an embassy of china) you need two documents: 外国人就业许可证书and邀请函 . Your employer has to apply for these documents(not you).. But he will need your graduation certificate(at least) while applying. Usually 2-3 years of work experience is a must for a successful application unless you're in small cities.

Once your student visa expires, you can apply for a month long tourist visa at the local PSB. A recommendation letter from the University will be very helpful.

A:It's up to the employer if they want to hire you that's fine most cities today require you to take a health check every year when renewing the working visa if you pass the health check and you get your visa renewed each year I know teachers that are in their 70s and they're still doing great -- ironman510
