Q: The cheapest car in China
Don't want to buy a fancy one..........Not my home country........Don't trust the chinese roads or drivers with me driving a fancy one around here.........GF wants me to Have a car cause she got one and all here family members gotthem and shit........so "Face" is my purpose..............Any cheap ones to consider but still looks good on the road and gives the missus "Face"?
if its Face issue... then how could cheapest one help?....
give mroe details... which car ur GF drive? her parents drive which model?
There wont be any 'face' left if you buy QQ when she is driving Lexus~!

buy one Mercedes SLK ...(600k).(FYI-2nd hand SLK'S are cheaper) if have more money.. E Class cabri (800k)... if more.. Mercedes SL (1.8 million)

bill has a point, although BMW 120 or 320 would also work in the category (are there a more powerful 1 Series on the Chinese market?)

there is M series available - BMW1 cost 600k... power more than enough...

the M1 would work. Ultimate face saver. It looks like a little cheap(ish) car but outperforms the rest. Of course a Toyota Crown might save more face to people who sees quantity as a quality
Yeah, sounds like the bare minimum is going to be an entry level VW (Polo, I think?). Probably looking at around 100k. New QQ style cars can be had for less than 40k, but then massive loss of face will ensue considering the other rides you mentioned.

QQ is the cheapest one here..

It is also the one that would cause the least problems after a head on collision with a truck. At least the occupants would not be alive to have to clear up the mess
Need face? Buy a used (second hand!) Mercedes SLK, but don't TELL anyone it's second hand. Any late model Benz will do.

Don't tell anyone? bill, u know as well as I do that the car will be examined with a fine tooth comb, including the km's, the receipt and all accompanying paperwork. I honestly don't see how he could fake his way to obtaining the all important "FACE".
What I really want to say is that buying a car to impress a woman or to get face (or both) has trouble written all over it.

Hell yea a VW Santana with +2 rims would be outstanding! I mean, fun to drive, but I'm afraid it would provide no face.
i got the honda civic 2.0 easy to drive around in 230,000 the chevy has one for around 110,000 rmb good luck u can alway get a qq its around 30,000 but no face
well..........am buying a bicycle and taking my GF on a ride.........she accepts it then i will be happy if not then i am ging to send her back to her A4 with a Goodbye
