Q: Cheapest flights to Canada and back?

I usually use Expedia, and just try different dates to choose the best / cheapest flight.

Anybody have any other suggestions for cheap flights?

We are quite used to internet search sites but I have a suggestion:

Go to the Air Canada website and find a contact number. Phone them directly and give them your estimated travel time. They may surprise you by finding the lowest possible price available.

I have done this and was impressed when the Air Canada Customer Service calculated a way to add an extra flight for a very very low price.

They are partnered with Air China so don't be surprised if you will board an Air China airplane. Your ticket will show you 'Air China/Air Canada' partnership.

You may also look at kayak.com  some say is pretty good.

I also use Cheapoair and Mobissimo.com. The rates change all the time, seasonally from Dec to March(?) is the cheapest. Summer is the highest.

I use http://www.hipmunk.com/

It will list every possible flight and the best price.

i usually look for a direct flight with Air Canada but if you don't mind lay-overs and tiny seats with crappy food then a Chinese airline will be cheaper...but they are all listed on Hipmunk so you can choose.

Expedia is not that cheap anymore...IMO.

Skyscanner.com or Skyscanner.net

Such a good site! Usually has almost every cheap airline (except AirAsia)...and you can check for the whole month/year
