Q: Children with English names.

After looking at the answers from the recent question as above.Someone else must have been able to give their kids an English name on their Birth Certificate. It was not so difficult for me,or just did you listen to your wife or husband and take the easy way out?

I don't see the big issue about names.

Our daughter has an official Chinese name but we never use it. My wife has a Chinese name but only her parents use it.

I have known lots of people who have changed their name on a whim. We had one guy called "Hoppy" who joined the company. The boss told him to change it so he did. I know a woman who called herself "Alan" for years. Then she discovers it was a mans name so she changed it to "Alian".

If your kid does not like the given name they will just change it.
