Q: China-Africa relations,who benefits the most?

The  China African, relations seems having Little benefit to Africans present in China in a way that they constantly face discriminations in different ways and this might worsen the relations in the near future specially if an Africans who has studied in China happens to become a leader in his/her country. I think China must change this and given the fact that Chinese people are present in all African countries, they may also face some danger there, what do you think about this?

China obviously benefits the most. It looks more like a gentle colonization than anything.

Wallah! Has Africa ever been benefited!? The white people took the black people as slaves, raped them, colonized, treated them like pigs, cut of the black guys hand if they did not listen etc. <---Watch documentary for proof!

At least China just only discriminate you Africans, but hey the whole world are discriminate black people, so what´s the news?

GuilinRaf:

The Arabs also had a very vigorous Slave Trade long before the Portuguese ever set foot in Africa. That does not excuse the ill treatment that Africa and Africans have received from the rest of the world, however.

to be honest the slave trade is still going strong all over the world and that is one industry that does not discriminate

Africa will always be the one to benefit the least. It was so in the 19th Century, the 20th Century. I truly hope that Africa can prosper and get a fair deal in the 21 st Century. Enough is enough!!!

Actually, except the African wealthy class, none of the African countries have really gained any benefits from the investment done by Chinese.

Chinese, similar to what Japan has previously done but for fishing quota, builds roads and infrastructure in African countries, to export their Chinese manpower, tools, equipment and vehicle. In exchange they are paid for their work with a lot of money (as for the Chinese government or the Chinese companies involved in these constructions money has no color). Sometimes the Chinese government will provide all their technology for free in exchange of some contracts on natural or mineral resources.

However, Chinese companies hardly hire the local population and have usually Chinese people being sent from China to Africa to do basic work. They also grow their own food when possible or import it from China. So it does not really help the local economy.

Why is that so? Simply because they consider African people as "lazy" and "unreliable" as manpower. They have the same attitude towards North-African people from the Maghreb area.

Moreover, the Chinese government provides incentives to those Chinese who dare to go to Africa to work (better salary, and housing incentive at their return to China).

Africa has become the Chinese trash for all the counterfeit medicine and other counterfeit products.

So it is actually China which benefits the most from these trade relationships and naturally the small minority of already wealthy African people.
