Q: Is China still really "Communist" or is it just a label?
I am not trying to be funny nor a troll here. Just think back about 30-40 years ago when America was bashing China for being "Socialist" and China was trashing America for being "Capitalists". Today the roles seem to have been reversed with more social programs and government bail-outs in America which has the world's largest debt, and China out performing the American economy 3 to 1 over the last 20 years (growth rate). Should the party rebrand itself as "Social Capitalists" which I think has no negative implications and is more representative of what China has grown into? Both Marx and Mao as well as Teddy Roosevelt lived in much different worlds than we do. All three were heroes in their day but world realities everywhere apparently agree that money and profits seem to trump ideologies. If this were not true, the world would not be full of so much corruption - even found in abundance at the UN and especially in America (ie Koch brothers, Wall Street banksters, Haliburton, etc.) Btw... The same question can be asked another way as well... "Is America still a "Democracy" or is it just a label"? As time passes all the black and white in the world is becoming various shades of gray politically.

Take a look at all of my past posts. Only a handful pissed people off and that handful of people are known to be teacher-recruiters in the real world. I never expect people to agree with me 100% about anything. Life goues on and we can agree to disagree yes?

I think the Snowden and Manning affairs made the world open their eyes and buy a new pair of glasses to put things in proper perspective. No country is perfect and most all of them are corrupt to some degree. But not all countries try to manipulate events in the world, sponsor civil unrest, finance military coups, use chemical weapons, torture people in secret prison camps, have prisons in foreign countries, have the highest incarceration rate in the world, drop nuclear bombs, and then pretends to be "holier than thou" and preach to the rest of the world.
My point is that China "seems" to moving in the right direction (slowly to be sure) and America is moving in the wrong direction ever since the U.S. Supreme Court appointed George W. Bush as president. Meanwhile the rest of the world is consumed by economic depression still leftover from the 2008 financial collapse created by the Wall Street Banksters. So internationally the Europeans have been reduced to spectators.
Russia is exploiting this opportunity and American troops will invade more and more countries to serve the corporate will of Wall Street as public attention will always be diverted to fear-mongering events of muslims - the new Bogey men. Since 911 politics in American has been driven by fears and fabricated threats.
In short the tension in the world is growing and China which has been a pacifist country (with a handful of exceptions) has done its best to avoid being dragged into all the conflicts. Is it possible in your mind that China will be baited and lured into an artificial crisis (just like the Iraq invasion was fabricated upon lies)? It could be the South China Sea or maybe even some agent provocateurs in Xin Jiang.
But my relatives in America have worked in Banking for years and they all see China as a financial enemy and competitor that needs to be "contained & controlled". This is why the true political ideologies need to be analyzed and maybe re-categorized.
China may ultimately be faced with a "Can't beat em, so join em" economic stand-off. If that were to happen, there would be no hope for the 99% of the world that count on China and Russia to balance the 1% elitists who pull all the strings in the West. In reality it is much like an American presidential election... People of the world are being forced to embrace the lesser of two evils, but at least one has a 5,000 year track record of not trying to control revenues and resources around the world.
Today China is buying up Africa like America bought up and exploited Latin America in the 50s and 60s. Hopefully China will learn from our mistakes and not alienate all their new African partners.
So is one ideology really better or worse than another or does it all come down to labels of convenience? Is peaceful coexistence and balance of power a real possibility today, or will envy in the West compel a war based on false pretenses of "labeling"?

Mindless America bashing. Invasion of mainland Japan by American forces would have killed millions including hundreds of thousands of us soldiers. Most countries would have dropped nuclear bombs in this circumstance. China would have gone into annihilation mode.
Almost, disregarding if you are a scammer or not, you should write posts and not questions. Every question you post you also give the answer. What is the use in doing that? better write a post or an article if you want to share your thoughts.

Communism was always a label. There was no time when it functioned like the fairytale (textbook) version, in which peasants hold hands and revel in the bountiful rewards and complete social equality they've achieved.
Communism is the name of a political ideology which puts state control and assets into the hands of the most ruthless, while brainwashing a vast population of stupid peasants into believing they are working for the common good. Apparently some people get confused because this form of institutionalised enslavement and inequality was given a positive-sounding name.
Regarding the wonderful, pure and noble past:
The world was not a better place before capitalism. There was never anything wonderful about "ideology" before a global economy emerged. Before capitalism there was Imperialism, Feudalism, and the Dark Ages (during which time the Catholic Church punished thoughtcrime as brutally as China ever has). People have been exploiting and enslaving each other for all human history. Ideology allows vast numbers of people to be exploited or enslaved at once.
People who are either old, retarded or Chinese like to imagine that the past was a simpler, more moral time. Even clever Chinese people believe the shit they are told about their ancestors being virtuous, self-sacrificing, or amazing in battle.
All cultures mythologise figures from history and reduce reality in the past to simple text. Chinese people take stories a bit more literally than the rest of us.
