Q: China Telecom: Is there a way to check prepaid balance?

In Beijing.

You can text "YE" to "10010" on China Unicom to check balance.

You can text "113" to "10086" on China Mobile to check balance.

I was wondering if there was a way like this for China Telecom. The only way I have found so far is calling 10000 and talking to the operator; and I hate it.

You can call 10001 and follow the automated voice instructions to check your balance. For China Telecom users.

You can text "101" to "10001" on China Telecom to check balance.
(Without the quotes)

Sending "1" to "10001" will give you the list of numbers you can send (101,102,...) and their functions in Chinese, which you can translate in Google translator.

If you send an undefined code such as the letter "Q" to "10001", you will receive  a help message with more general available codes + a short explanation for each one.
