Q: In China, what are the top ten cities with the least pollution/ cleanest air?

Looking at the air quality index for China things look pretty bleak overall. Is anyone living in a place that they can actually breathe in? I know Hainan is supposed to be good and a few more on the coast. Is there an official list of the best anywhere?

Fukang, Xinjiang. Sunny & windy last 10 days, yesterday light snow, temp. -12*C. AQI is (surprisingly) high in Xinjiang overall, but there's no data for my small city. Air doesn't 'smell or taste'.

Also Xinjiang.  Karamay.  Blue skies most days and sometimes it seems you can see forever.

Sounds of birds every day.

Zhuhai promotes itself as one of the 10 least polluted cities in China. It also promotes itself as one of the romantic cities of China, if that has to do with the garbage in the streets, the many KTVs er the fact that it is easy to sit on the beach and dreaming about being in Hong Kong or Macau, I don't know.

I've been to Dunhuang, in Ganxu, in the middle of the desert. Very clear sky and stunning landscapes there. Thinking of it, if I had to be stuck in China, I would eventually live there. You can easily power your own home with solar panel and solar boilers there, sun is plentiful.
