Q: For the Chinese (and Kiwis); would you give up your own country to become an Australian citizen?

Haha, I met a nice girl from New Zealand while I was traveling in the Philippines. She was working on her doctorate in anthropology, interviewing the local population...in their local dialect no less 
. Would she have gotten upset if I had called her a Kiwi?

Yes, she would. Most Kiwis, especially males, prefer to be referred to as "sheep shaggers." It's a good way to make friends with them. 
Flemingo:
The Kiwi (bird) is a national icon, the fruit is one of our largest export items, but should be called kiwifruit. Never heard of anyone offended by the term Kiwi. Sounds better than New Zealander.
