Q: Chinese girlfriend laugh at me. Why?

Had a Chinese girlfriend.Everything was nice, except when she hanged around with me and her friend. They would talk in Chinese really fast, so I don't understand at all, then they would look at some body parts of me - armpits, feet, chin or hair, then burst laughing.

Is it me too paranoid? Is it something they do to everyone? I have lot of perspiration when it's hot, but stress of not knowing makes it worse!

Halp!

well do not feel bother about it if you can not understand what exactly they are saying... if they did it again change your mood and ignore them, its possible they come up to you and express them selves. people find it rude if you say something to them in a language a person can not understand it.......

so do not bother about it. if happens again take an action. you will find what they were saying..

Thank for the kind word, xerxes. It's actually never a problem, because I treat them to dinner, wine and gifts so they are super kind when we talk in english or whenever we are all at home. It's more in public places that the suspicious Chinese talking stuff occurs.

In private, they are quite the sweetest things.

I was more wondering if they are all like that, though.

OK I understand your armpits are sweaty and the hair on your face is unusual to many Chinese but why your feet? Why would they laugh at your feet?

Chinese men don't have much in the body hair department.

Chances are you're a hairy dude, and that's what made them gawk and laugh. A lot of Chinese women find that quite attractive.

What's rare is prized.

"Bursting in laughter shows kindness"? I now know what to do the next time I see an old lady falling down in the street. I shall burst into laughter at her. Ahh the loving touch of kindness...
