Q: Chinese guys use deodorant or what they use in their underarms to not smell bad?

I arrived in China (Shanghai) in 2007, it was so hard to find antitranspirant or deodorant for men. Actually I would almost say there were not; now its so easy, they're expensive but is easy to get.
It means then that chinese guys dont use deodorant or at least they didnt use in the beginning of 2000's???

The deodorants and anti-perspirant sprays you find in China today are nearly all imported.

Before the introduction of foreign products, there were no alternatives. The Chinese are a smelly race and proudly so - armpits, mouths and bums all have a distinctive odour, and they want to share it with everyone. Especially on trains and buses.

If you check when Walmart arrived in China which was definitely in the beginning of 2000 sometime then you can assume that they did have deodorant. I also agree with Ludovico that many of the deodorants you will find will be imported. I myself use AXE Fresh to stay sharp and focused. It is a deodorant stick and I can't say I prefer a spray over a stick any longer. I use the stimulation mint to stay fresh & stay focused on her. That was on the label I just read but AXE deodorants are the best it doesn't matter if it's a deodorant stick or spray bottle.

I don't think most men here use anything.  Combined with showing every few days, their stench (some of them) is overwelming at times.  Taking the train is the worst.
I have never been able to find normal stick deoderant here....not even in Hong Kong.  It's all the spray kind which I hate.
I always bring at least a 6 months supply from home before I come here.

Do have to admit Chinese guys are not as bad as some Australians.

On a peak hour train on the tin rattlers in Sydney (no aircon train) next to a westie/bogan/redneck holding onto the hand bar above him and his armpit is directly in front of your nose is one of the worst smells known to mankind.
