Q: Chinese idea's you took home ?

For me the best part of travel to other countries is seeing different things and concepts .
I had never seen a instant hot water system till I went to the UK about 11 years ago.
My favorite from China is the Bed head with Storage built into it.
Please share you're discoverys.

Something that makes complete sense to me now and I'll probably do the rest of my life is take my shoes off at the door. No outdoor shoes inside.

BHGAL:

no problem with the shoes off at the door....  bare foot from there on though, I do not wear them stupid plastic things in the home ....bare foot!!!!

Ummm...

Hmmm.....

Oh, Chinese are much better at money management and saving. I got back to my home country and everyone always seems broke or living paycheck to paycheck.

So glad I got away from that way of living and got to see a different view on how to manage my finances... now I never have to worry or complain about it like lots of people around here...

However the down side is everyone asks to borrow money because I don't complain and cry about it all the time.

I now buy loose leaf tea and never use tea bags. My favourite green tea is mao jian. My Chinese friend was amazed I knew about tea varieties and not just "green" tea.

Sadly despite my new found knowledge I've not persuaded a single person to swap tea bags with loose tea.

philbravery:

Lol...up till my late 20s we used to drink Billy tea. For those non Australians or Kiwis. ..Billy tea is loose leaves tea thrown in to a can of boiling water over a camp fire. Dam that was a long time ago.
