Q: The Chinese & Kenny G

Why do the Chinese enjoy Kenny G and his soprano saxophone so much?  China Southern, Bank of China, airport lounges, my dentist, Do & Me fast food, to name but a few, play him constantly. 2 tracks and I have had enough. Do you know any others that drive you up the wall?

I wonder how the staff can handle it. The same song playing in loop for the whole day. In Shopping malls or supermarkets, they would usually play the Songbird song when they are about to close.

Yep, the elevator musician of jazz, riding it straight to Hell, and dragging the memories of Parker, Coltrane, Gordon, Rollins and too many others down there with him. Speaking as a sax player myself, i'd like to say firstly that I wish I had his dexterity and technical ability, and secondly that I wish someone would stick that soprano he plays up his poop-shoot, where it might produce something more closely resembling good music. Quite liked 'Songbird' though.
