Q: Chinese Rich kids ?

Anybody heard about this story?
found it on a Australian web page
government pressure

Rich kids of China are definitely not different to their western counterparts when it comes to parading their lavish lives on social media, however the Chinese government wants to put a stop to it.

Although they have been warned to tone it down, the country's wealthy youths cannot resist flaunting their luxury goods on Instagram, The Sun reports.

President Xi Jinping does not want his country's cashed up youngsters to follow the example of their snotty western cousins and has taken every action possible to keep them out of the public eye.

He has introduced strict censoring policies to stop these teens from starring in reality TV shows, and blocked China from adopting its own version of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.

However, his bureaucratic powers fail to reach as far as social media.

Despite his efforts, rich young Chinese women continue to upload photos of designer clothes, frothing champagne bottles and luxury cars.

One Insta-brat, "AL", showed off a sample of her wine cellar writing, "wine pairing night for homemade dinner... So far year 2004 tastes the best among all these babies."

At $415 a bottle, it would want to.

Others still showed off their jewellery, marble swimming pools, jewel-encrusted shoes and boutique lap dogs.

Western (white) nations tend to have social security systems. This is a socialist concept of course. This was an agenda pushed by Bevan. But the movement to improve the lifestyle of the poor started well before that. WW1, for example. Malnourished troops were not effective.

China does not have this level of socialism. Ironic of course. But hey ho.

The downside of Beven's insight, is that we now have a generation of people who have a pensions. And these people think they are superior. They think they deserve it. They are entitled to it. They move to the right, but the left invented it.

If it was not for the left, you would be in a shack wondering how to pay for your food.

Nobody is better. We are all the same.

The new rich will be short lived. Socialism will prevail.

BHGAL:

my pension is not a handout. the government took $xxxx from me every paycheque for 37 years. If it weren't for this "tax" on my earnings, I would have had more money on my paycheque every 2 weeks for the 37 years. Could have invested it in a far more lucrative investment than they did, and had, in the end a lot more money than they are doling out to me now.

Of course there is that possibility that I would have just had more beer money and the taxpayer would be supporting me fully, forever.

20/20 hindsight  tells me that everybody, everybody from the age of zero to the time of retirement should be "saving" 10% of their earnings for a retirement plan. Parents should be putting a little in the bank REGULARLY for their kids, ON TOP OF THEIR OWN 10%. Younger you start, better it will be in the end DUH!

We do not all have rich parents or inheritances.

BHGAL:

Here is another little FACT  for you.

I had $50,000 of life insurance on my deceased wife ...  half for me, which I got, and half for my son who was 7 years old when his MOM died.

His $25,000 was put in a TRUST by the government until he was 21. The fees and the bad investments resulted in my son receiveing $21,000 at the age of 21. 14 years of investing $25,000, and the government lost $4,000.

My expectation was $80,000, if I had frugally invested it myself.
