Q: Chinese teacher likes my gf.
So my Chinese gf told me that one of her teachers in university told her that he likes her (he's like in his early 30s, married) and my gf is 20.
She has talked to him and said no way, he's a teacher, she has a foreign bf, etc.
He teaches her once a week, so she doesn't have to see him a lot.
I told her to basically cut off all contact outside class, not respond if he texts/calls, etc.
My question is: In case he turns out to be a major psycho, is there something should do in case she fears for her safety?
I mentioned she should talk to a school official, and she was like he has some guanxi, is known to pay money to the dean, etc. Also, I'm sure my gf is just hoping this all dies down and she doesn't have to deal with it.
I have always heard of foreigners chasing girls in class, but not local teachers. Is this usually ignored in China? What are the protocols for a women's safety? Do women get shit from other people because a teacher is troubling her?Can the police be involved before something serious happens? Should I drop her to class and make myself known in front of this guy?

lf he keeps bothering her, tell him to back off, don't do anything. Then if he doesn't keep away, try to find him someplace alone and have a firmer conversation.
Get a new teacher, file a complaint, worry about the rest of your concerns if they happen.

then you must be deaf dumb and blind this is very common in china. and it is done in the most unprofessional way . many would outright threaten to lower their grades or make sure they dont get a diploma from the school. happened to my ex gf. in the usa you have the protection of law. that doesn't exist here.
my 3 years in china i have heard about this often. usually from students who are screwed over. becoz if one of your classmates is the teachers gf, she is gonna get a higher score than you with doing any work (in the clasroom). if she enters a speech contest she will win becoz he will ask his buddies to vote for her. and what shocks me is that everyone knows whats going on and why.
Foreign BF seems cares G F a lot ,ha ha .Just tell the headmaster or the girl's parents ,then that teacher will be fired because it is forbidden for a married man to date another girl like a girlfriend .But from then ,you should pay more attention to your girlfriend's safety.
He could proabably cause a lot of problems for ur gf
this is what you should do. get his photo , arrange to bump into him. be friendly with him. get an invite to dinner with his wife and kids (or invite them out) then have your gf show up with all the evidence.

Ignore it and move on. If it persists beyond that, then take measures, from the sound of it, your gf isn't the only student he's hitting on
Sorry, I never took into account that the teacher could mess with her grades, so she'll have to look unattractive in his class, mess her hair up, don't wear anything nice looking, maybe get some black gum and cover a tooth,,maybe some darker skin makeup on her face,,anything so she doesn't look so good, but if he's got the hots for her she'll have to keep it up until he cools off.
