Ted, you will find two kinds of women here looking to marry foreign guys:  (a) the obvious kind that want a green card, a ticket overseas, a better life and then divorce after a period of time and then the Chinese ex-husband comes to join her (I see that happen); and then (b) the really great kind, usually previously married, in an abusive marriage, that wants a Western husband believing and usually rightfully thinking that she will have a better husband, a more sober husband, a faithful husband, etc. If you could find such a person when you come to China, you will have found a great soulmate.  Please take your time, think with your head, and not your little brothers, as so many men do, and you will find such a person.  My foreign friends here who have found such a woman have made lasting, caring, nurturing marriages.

I fully agree with th answer given by 981977405.  The first one I met was from group "A", a total disaster in fact.  Now, I took my time, met many Ladis, until I found one who do care about me, not whatever my financial status may be.  We have been together for 9 months now, and each passing day is better than the previous.

Since race isn't really a deciding factor in what kind of WOMAN or man anyone will ultimately become, nobody can say any race would make a better mate, and only YOU can decide WHO, as an individual not as a race, would be good for you.

There might be issues of cultural conditioning here.  Many Chinese woman still maintain traditional views of marriage, the family and home and even if they were to evolve in their way of thinking, they would receive considerably pressure from their own mothers and grandmothers.  Maternal family pressure can be a very deciding force in this country.

Many Western men, at least not the generations of those present on this Board, may have never seen  or never been benefitted from a traditional mother / housewive and yet somewhat in their inner psyche, this is what they seek when pursing the perfect wife.
