Q: chinese yuan does not appear on the list,why?

as big and rich as china is, why do websites not place the Chinese currency on the list when trying to buy something online?

I have seen almost all the time the Hong kong dollar appearing,and so many other minor countries' currencies, can anyone explain to me the reason?

It has to do with the semi-convertibility of the yuan. Additionally, special credit cards are needed by Chinese nationals and by residents of the PRC for use overseas -- that may also have something to do with it.

But it's not true in all cases -- many of the major airlines listen yuan prices on their fares and schedules pages -- at least the foreign carriers that serve China, directly or through coding arrangements.
