How about a one year membership at the local gym or other recreational facilities?  Something you two could do together.

A golf-n-tan trip to Hainan for a few days at a nice resort with a good golf club, sports facilities, nice beach, etc.

Tell him he can get whatever he wants whenever he wants (you know what I mean) for at least a week.

Nothing on the consumer market will make him happier as long as you really honor that pledge...and you can't beat the price!!

since he is into sports, I suggest a complete set of hockey gear and a complete set of American football gear............  this may be a little pricey, but he could store them/hang on them wall until they are antiques and get big bucks for them in the future.

Encourage him to go to the local sports bar by himself and have a good time.

I don't think it would be easy to get any real sports memorabilia in China, so I would pass on that.

As for a physical gift...  I can't say what to get him, unless he is into computer games.  Then take him down to HaiYin and let him pick up a bunch of games/videos.  Those should keep him busy for a while.  And at 5RMB a disk it won't cost a lot.

HaiYin is the textiles district in Guangzhou and it is also home to my favorite place to pick up Xbox games, PC software and movies.

buy yourself a nice piece of lingerie. on christmas eve at around 11:55pm, go into the bathroom and put it on. at 12:00am stand by the bedroom door, and tell him "it's time to unwrap his present." (for about 3 days before christmas eve, claim to feel too tired for sex. this will make that night a little bit more special)

maggiegirly:

Crimo, you made me laugh, thanks for that.
