Q: CNY Hongbao etiquette – of cashless red envelopes n digital e.bags

CNY round the corner n need to distribute some hongbao’s.

I still prefr the good ol’ fashiond red envelops rathr thn the latest trend of digital transfrs on mobile. How abt u ?

Is it appropriate to fill those red bags with movie tickets, gift vouchrs or somethin’ else in lieu of cash ? Suggestions appreciatd. Thx!

well, I go digital myself, but my thoughts on your question are like this-

it probably is not considered appropriate by most, but fk 'em, the way we introduce new ways of doing things is by a few people being bold enough to act!  No matter what someone might say there is nothing bad about getting a gift cert. or sth similar.  It's still a gift, shows you were thinking of them.  A decent person would be grateful.

as my ol' mammy always said:  'Never look a gift-horse in the mouth'

well said dude. this shd surely be the answr of the day.

Your saving (Rmb) will dip some 5-10% in next month. IMO, you're better off with holding some PM coins.

imo 5-10% in a month is improbable. a pct up or dwn is more likely
