Q: commercial ideas from back home that have still to arrive in china?

i was in a pound shop (dollar-store) in the u.k, and i wondered why i hadn't seen any similar type shops here. at least not on a large scale.

There was an article in the Guardian today about the cashless society. All based on plastic cards. I am sure most westerners are totally ignorant of phone payments.

I reckon the UK pub culture of yesteryear could do well here. Just need to get past the get pissed as fast as possible attitude, and start to see it as a place of social cohesion.

Canned and preserved food also has a chance to take off here. If tinned ham was introduced rather than spam. Tinned soup. That sort of thing.Maybe.
