Q: Confused about some job postings.

Hi,

I just wanted  ask a question that is really confusing me. Some job postings read -" Wanted -  Native English teachers, Bachelor degree or above"

What's more confusing is further down the ad reads "Bachelor degree a must". Which one is it? Can someone please help clarify?

TIA.

I can't see what's so confusing about "Bachelors degree or above..."

Above is a preposition that denotes something higher than the subject at hand. Hotwater is right; Honours, Masters or a PhD would be above or higher than a BA.

At a minimum (minimum means the lowest or least) you need a BA, a TEFL qualification and two years post-graduate experience.

A bachelor degree is a must.

Something "above" a bachelor degree is a masters or a PHD. They aren't a must but are a benefit in at least getting an interview.

See, it's not that difficult to understand unless you're maybe not a native speaker....or something
