Q: Could there ever be a sort of IM system on Echinacities?
I don't know if this is a crazy idea or what, but I think it would be really cool if there was some sort of IM system. One where you could have a sort of group chat with whoever is online at the time. Maybe that's actually a messageboard? Sometimes I feel like I want to just talk to people instead of leaving a comment.

This would be a great idea. It can be done...not sure how easy it is.
Shenzhenstuff.com has this. It's almost like a cross between Facebook and a forum. You have to be logged on as a member to see the live chats and to be able to use the IM.

Hmm, I actually suggested this to the 'boss cats' a couple of months ago and they were lukewarm about it. I'll bring it up again.
Hmmmm... An old school chat room might actually be pretty fun. I haven't seen one of those in AGES. Would those be old enough to be retro-cool yet?
I think it would be cool. It would be fun to talk to people in real time and have actual conversations.
