Wow .... quite a detailed list, with China growing in economic power, more countries are willing to provide visa-free or visa on arrival stays for Chinese passport holders, they hope to attract more tourists and Chinese are known to be quite big spenders.

Maybe that is why China is offering visa free entry to Beijing for all European countries (except badly behaved Norway, of course). In the hopes the European countries will reciprocate. Good luck with that

What? Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan and India aren't on the list?

Did you see them there?

No. In fact, Taiwan doesn't issue visas at all to mainland Chinese citizens, because it doesn't recognise Chinese passports. Vietnam and Philippines do not issue visas to holders of China's "map" passports, because they refuse to recognise these passports.

China is one of the few countries in the world whose passports are not recognised by some other countries.

It is very rare that any country allows foreign nationals without visa (I know India allow this facility to Nepal and Bhutan Nationals and vice versa)..

but yaa..there are lot countries that offer visa on arrival ..

as far as China is concerned there are lot of countries offer "visa on arrival" to Chinese Nationals. Most of these countries are under developed countries whose economy is very weak and visa fees makes large chunk of their income in foreign currency.

But this facility of visa on arrival is of no use for Chinese Nationals who are going to visit "visa on arrival nation" because immigration officer do not allow in China to leave any Chinese nationals without valid visa.

But Chinese natioanl generally use to take Hong kong route to exit China and avail visa on arrival facility.

This list is mostly a list of countries that DO require visas, but do not have embassies or consulates in China. There are very few countries on the list that DON'T require visas.

Australians can actually visit 163 countries without a visa, or obtain a visa on arrival. Citizens of Norway can visit 165 countries under these same arrangements. So the list you give is incredibly small.

981977405:

There are visas-on-arrival which is nothing more than a entry stamp in a passport allowing for a certain stay.

Secondly, then there are the entry stamps that also allow for a certain stay and they are just that.  It it's a very line between the two.  .

I believe that Singapore is also visa-free for Chinese but then again it's a 30-day visa-upon-arrival thing.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
